This endeavor is part of a larger mission to help preserve the Nahuatl language.
Background and Purpose-- Nahuatl, a language rich in history and culture, is rapidly vanishing. In collaboration with a language researcher from the University of Oklahoma, we have gathered an extensive dataset to support this important cause. The dataset comprises 30,000 records, encompassing single word translations, sentences, and paragraphs. These records provide a starting foundation for tuning Zephyr-7B-beta to understand and translate between English and Nahuatl with greater accuracy.
