Sign UpI don't have enough capacity either...
I've been given a huge amount of capacity. I'm grateful to HF.
But I don't know how to describe this feeling... Is it like having a receipt for a big purchase kept in front of you?
Or looking at the amount of tax you paid this year framed on the wall?
It makes me feel like a memento mori.
The Zero GPU Space Quota and Inference display is really convenient...
Edit:
To be honest, I'm just doing most of the conversion work. 99% of the value is in the original models. I think it's impossible, or at least it should be avoided, to measure the contribution to the open source community or the AI model ecosystem by the number of downloads or views or likes or so.
This would reproduce the phenomenon of “basic research not being funded” in the shortest possible time.
It is also bad from the emotional side. Some people might be really happy to be evaluated, but I think 90% of people would feel bad whether they were evaluated or not. And the real trolls don't feel anything because they're usually bots. They're not Android Data, Astro Boy, or Great Mazinger.
People like nyuuzyou
and others who are putting up datasets, or people who are just putting up models of their own production processes, are far more valuable than me. Even if they are private or gated.
Of course, there is no reason why HF should do host them. There is no obligation to host even an 1 bit. There isn't...

The thing is datasets are also semi a copyright issue, they're not just looking at the $$$ but the stupidity of the lawyers who will look at a tshirt and call it porn. (I say this because amazon's rekognition tagger loves to tell me a clothed human is explicit nudity)
Really weird, because i'm sure i'm entirely OVER that with my organization lol.
I haven't uploaded to my flippin main account in ages, i always do it to my org.
Well, I think E&D is probably OVER capacity.😅 Or rather, I think that's the situation for the main accounts of MOST individuals and communities who create and collect models and datasets...
I hope this measure is simply a way of creating a good reason to delete the vandalism...
I'm backing up as much as possible in case there are models that disappear out of fear, but after all, it's just an individual's HDD...
Hey – thanks for your feedback – we are still iterating and discussing. Expect more clarity soon! And apologies for the scare.
Thank you for your effort. The departure of
@Yntec
is a great loss.😭 (He is back↓) But apart from that, no major damage has been confirmed so far.
I understand the measure, because the recent spate of vandalism has been dangerous.
However, if you spray insecticide roughly, the harmless, weak insects will die first. Cockroaches usually survive to the end. Also, pigeons will fly away if you scare them with a loud noise, but crows will not. The efficient elimination of pests is probably an eternal theme. To put it simply, the final manual work after streamlining is inevitable, and if we avoid it, there will be damage.
Edit:
I forgot to mention one thing, but there is something I would like you to pay special attention from the HF side. Users don't know what is going on on the front side of the all over HF, except for people like me who have a lot of free time. Of course, I don't know what is going on on the back side either.
So, if something suddenly happens visually, many users will be very surprised!
On the other hand, generally, bulletin board vandals are geeks who are well-informed about information, so they won't be surprised at all.
The announcement bar was recently implemented, but I don't think it is fully functional yet. The content seems like a test.
As not everyone is from a developed country, I think it's very risky to surprise them with a quota that involves money.
However, apart from the fact that looking at the quota on the disk makes me want to die, the other quota bars are very useful.
