National Engineering College was established in the year 1984. It is accredited by NBA. It offers 7 UG, 5 PG and several research programmes leading to Ph.D. degrees in all departments. NEC has several centers of excellence and laboratories.

It is our pride and privilege that the founder of Brimma, Mr. Subramanian, is an NEC Alumni and native of the Tenkasi district. As part of the social responsibility and commitment to the inclusive development of our rural students, Brimma established a “Technobation Center” at NEC to equip students with outstanding skills for employability.
