In 1994, at the suggestion of Teacher Ding, a special group was set up by the "Tiananmen Mothers" to coordinate and be responsible for the receipt and distribution of humanitarian relief funds.
In 1998, MCDF established the "June 4th Orphans Education Fund," which ran for 11 years until 2009, when all June 4th orphans had graduated from university. MCDF then established the "June 4th Poor Elderly and Special Difficult Households Relief Fund," which has been running ever since.
Funding for these projects came primarily from campus and social donations in June Fourth, from generous donations from individuals, and with support from the Brother University Foundation for Democracy.

During this joint performance, the Chinese and Vietnamese armies focused on the major topic of humanitarian medical rescue, closely following the mission of saving lives and rescuing the wounded, and completed joint medical command, joint on-site rescue, and mass casualty handling according to combat standards, effectively enhancing the medical support capabilities of the two armies.
The results of the exercise were affirmed by the Chinese and Vietnamese armed forces.
At the closing ceremony of the exercise, Nguyen Xiong Sheng, Director of the Vietnam Exercise Guidance Committee and Deputy Director General of the Logistics Department of the Vietnam People's Army, said that through this exercise, Vietnamese military doctors had learned knowledge from Chinese military doctors in terms of exercise organization and professional activities, and had also seen China's medical and security equipment.
The results of the exercise demonstrated the professional capabilities of the two countries' medical forces in medical assistance and epidemic prevention and control.
Chen Chunming, the leader of the Chinese guidance and coordination group and deputy director of the Logistics Support Department of the Central Military Commission, said that this exercise was another pioneering and innovative practice based on the successful joint medical consultation activities in 2018, and had a very important milestone significance.
During the exercise, the Chinese People's Liberation Army donated medical protective masks, medical protective clothing, rapid nucleic acid testing instruments and other health and epidemic prevention materials to the Vietnamese People's Army.
