I am interested in the very approximate time, whether it took a couple of hours, a couple of days, a couple of weeks or a couple of months?

If I remember correctly, the fine tuning steps which this model is took less than a day. The author of tortoise-tts also did a write up on the original model in https://arxiv.org/abs/2305.07243.
