great work, I am trying to replicate your work to understand and enhance my knowledge.

Well, I am getting errors with the environment variable 'PJ_HOME'. like on HF I have your app code etc. when I commit. I get a key error. refer screenshot.
PJ_HOME is an environment variable saying the directory that this repo is under, i.e., $PJ_HOME/LOREN/. In your case, I suppose you can do export PJ_HOME=/home/user/. For details, you can refer to https://github.com/jiangjiechen/LOREN.
